This is a beautiful French Victorian burr cedar tulipwood cross banded Jewellery Box, c.1870 (The item is for sale at MostlyBoxesAntiques, click the link at the end of the video for the website). It's Ebony and boxwood inlaid, it has canted corners, and is burr cedar all the way around with an inlaid front. Open the box to reveal a professionally relined interior with hand marbled paper. The key is for decoration as unfortunately it doesn't work the lock, it measures: 27cm by 19cm and stands 12cm height.
